Important terms we use

We will ask you for a high resolution version of your logo

A high-resolution version of a business logo is critical for several reasons. It is an investment in your business's professional image, versatility, print and digital quality, and overall branding consistency. Your logo’s resolution isn’t just a detail; it’s the difference between a fuzzy blur and a crisp impression. Get that resolution right, and your brand’s image will thank you later.

Professional Appearance: High-resolution logos look professional and crisp, regardless of the size or medium they're used on. A low-resolution logo, on the other hand, can appear pixelated or blurry, which can negatively impact a brand's image.

Versatility: High-resolution logos can be scaled up or down without losing quality, making them versatile for different uses - from large billboards to small business cards. Low-resolution logos can become distorted when resized.

Print Quality: Printers require high-resolution images for clear, sharp output. If you use a low-resolution logo, it may print out unclearly or fuzzily, which can reflect poorly on your business.

Digital Use: High-resolution logos are necessary for digital platforms like websites, email signatures, and social media profiles. These platforms often require high-quality images for optimal display.

Branding Consistency: Having a high-resolution logo ensures that your brand appears consistent across all marketing materials and platforms. Inconsistent branding can confuse customers and dilute your brand identity.

Checking the Resolution

If you need to know if your image hits the hi-res mark. Right-click (or Control-Click on Mac) to open image properties. Look under DETAILS ➡️ IMAGE for the DPI and image size. (E.g., DPI = 300 dpi, Dimensions = 2560x1075 pixels)🖼️ It’s Not Just a Pretty Picture: A good look on your screen doesn’t confirm hi-res. Don’t be fooled by file size either – download and check those specs!🔍

Lo-Res vs. Hi-Res: Lo-res at 72 dpi? Perfect for the web, but don’t even think about print! Hi-res at 300 dpi? That’s the golden ticket for crystal-clear, non-pixelated prints.🖨️

Print Quality Matters: Whether it’s a business card or a glossy mag, 300 dpi is the print quality hero. Say no to blurry print nightmares!🖼️

Size Matters: Smaller print images: 2,000 x 2,000 pixels. Bigger? Think 5,000 x 5,000 pixels or more – the bigger, the better for printing!🌟

The Logo Magic: SVG files are web champs with high-res quality and small sizes. And for that professional print job? Think EPS for crisp, top-quality prints.🔍

You will hear us talk about KPIs

When we first started working together, we talked about the importance of setting goals for your business and creating a sales and marketing plan to achieve each key goal. As we work through your coaching plan, we want to make sure we are on the same page about what these goals are, how they will be tracked, and what sort of growth we can expect with the projects you are executing for your business. First, let's talk about what KPI goals are. A Key Performance Indicator is a measurable value that demonstrates how effectively a company is achieving key business objectives. The most essential objectives we want to address with you are sales objectives in terms of the average:

  • Leads you are generating each month

  • Qualified prospects you are connecting with

  • Sales you are closing

If you have not done so already.....please send us the averages for the last three months.

Why do we need this?

We want to make sure your marketing is always tied to your sales goals. Your historical data can be used to set sales goals as a baseline that we can then forecast from. We want to be able to set goals and project growth based on everything that we recommend for you to do. In addition to the aforementioned metrics, we would also like the information below if you have it. If you do not have it, don't worry. We can work this into our future plans.

  • Where are the leads coming from (Example 10 leads, 3 referrals, 3 Pay per Click, 2 Billboard, 2 radio)

  • What is the average value of each lead per source

  • What is the average customer lifetime value of each lead

Please feel free to contact me on Slack with these data points when you have a moment.

You will hear us talk about reach

One important marketing metric that you will hear us talk about is reach. This metric is important because it gives us an understanding of how many people we can reach with our marketing campaigns and how to optimize our messaging for maximum impact. We will use this data to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns and determine what tactics are working best.

Understand impressions and traffic

A few terms you may hear us use interchangeably are traffic and impressions. This is usually referring to the number of visits to our website or applications from various sources. Unlike reach, which refers to people we reach, traffic refers to instances where people view or visit content. For example, you may have 1,000 impressions on a social media post that is made up of 800 people. So, your reach would be 800, and your impressions would be 1,000. We use this data to measure the success of our campaigns and content because it helps us determine which areas are driving more engagement.

When you hear us ask us to get something designed or built, be prepared to talk about objectives, specs, and deadlines

Objectives are the strategic goals, while specs are more granular and usually include details of the design or features of what you're asking for. We always want to understand what you are trying to accomplish so we can guide you through the best course of action in your projects. Knowing what your goals are, your specific technical requirements and your desired deadlines helps us to ensure we are all on the same page about what needs to be delivered and by when.

When discussing budgets, know that it's not just cost but also time that is taken into consideration as resources are limited. We strive to get maximum impact within a reasonable budget and timeframe, so if your request doesn't align with it, be prepared to present an alternate solution.
